I love Friday the 13th. The last time it happened I actually blogged about the date itself. This upcoming Friday the 13th, the city of Cape May, NJ, believed by many to be one of the most haunted cities in the country, is hosting a paranormal-theme weekend, funded by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities and endorsed by the city itself.
CAPE MAY -Believing that Friday the 13th is a day of bad luck may be purely superstition, but the lingering spirits in the nation’s first seaside resort, Cape May, could be much closer to reality.
Discover what is really going bump in the night as you spend a Paranormal Weekend in Cape May with a psychic medium and a paranormal research team. Throw a pinch of salt over your shoulder, avoid black cats and walk away from ladders, because the spirits are waiting your arrival for the Paranormal Weekend, sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC), Friday, Aug. 13 and Saturday, Aug. 14.
On Friday the 13th at 7 p.m. join the team from Ghost-One, a paranormal research group based in Pennsylvania, for Ghost 101: Dinner & Investigation. Ghost-One group members have conducted several extensive investigations at Cape May’s original haunted house, the 1879 Physick Estate, and are now ready to share their findings and ghost-hunting expertise during the dinner and investigation.
If you find yourself in the Cape May area this weekend, it may be a fun thing to check out. Even if you don’t want to pay the admission fees for everything, you can at the very least surround yourself with like-minded people interested in the paranormal. If you end up going, please let us know!
Oh man! Another Cape May story. Lately I have seen “Cape May” everywhere. (People telling me I should go, or people telling me they’ve been.) Now this…
I have a feeling I’ll be referring back to this post at some point!
