We here at The Occult Section will be taking a few days off to celebrate the holidays, so we thought we’d leave you off with a bit of a humorous story (because we don’t have enough of those on here). Apparently, Raynair airlines is having a little fun with the Santa phenomenon and mixing it with a bit of ufology. Part of me is surprised that there hasn’t been a slew of fringe ufologists coming out of the woodwork to try to prove that this really is a UFO (or Santa). Enjoy! And have a happy and safe holiday season!
Ryanair has jokingly issued a press release announcing that one of their pilots has reported a UFO sighting.
The airline confirmed that passengers on board flight FR1397 had spotted the Unidentified Flying Object and begun to photograph it. Aviation experts claimed that an “increasing number” of sightings “some 200km south of Olso” are being reported “right up to” December 25.
Stephen McNamara, the airline’s head of communications added: “The crew became aware of the object after passengers spotted it and begun to photograph it.
“Ryanair has passed the image to Aviation Authorities throughout Europe in a bid to ensure further sightings can be reported.”
However, refusing to confirm who or what had been seen, he continued: “Ryanair does not comment on rumor or speculation and will not be drawn on passenger claims that the UFO was a test flight ahead of 24 December. This is now a matter for the authorities.”
